About the Sutherland Shire-Chuo City Sister City Association
The Sutherland Shire - Chuo City Sister City Association is a Community run, volunteer non-profit under the umbrella of Sutherland Shire Council's Sister City relationship with Chuo City, Tokyo.
Introduction
The Association and Management Committee members in Sutherland Shire are all Sutherland Shire residents who volunteer to organise the Sister City Student Exchange Program.
The Sister City Student program has been operating successfully since 1989, and with the continued assistance & support of Sutherland Shire Council as official Patron and Chuo City Council as major supporter, the Program promotes international people-to-people relationships through student exchange. Management in Japan is by members of the Chuo City Government and Chuo City Board of Education.

Joining the Association
Membership of the Association is open to anyone who has an interest in Japan, or in fostering international understandings and co-operation. The Association Management Committee meets at 7:00pm on the second Wednesday of each month at Sutherland Council. We are always open to new members joining to help us continue with this rewarding venture.
